Looking for writers for a new children’s magazine

Feniks & Friends is a new anthropological publication for readers aged 10 to 14 years. It seeks to inform, inspire and entertain. Feniks & Friends will be a proper printed magazine, with 70 full-color pages. It will also be available in a digital version.

We are looking for non-fiction anthropological stories from Panama, Ecuador and Peru. We are looking for:

• Science articles on animals accompanied by original photographs;
• Science articles on plants accompanied by original photographs;
• Articles on history, culture and archeology accompanied by original photographs.

Articles should not be longer than 500 words. They can be written in Spanish; however, the writer should be able to communicate with us in English. Accuracy is essential. Authors are urged to use primary resources and up-to-date scholarly resources in their bibliography.

In order for your idea to be considered, a query must accompany each individual idea and must include the following:

• a brief cover letter stating the subject and word length of the proposed article,
• an extensive bibliography of materials the author intends to use in preparing the article.
